Still time to donate to Chris Parsons’ appeal to Educate a Widow’s Child!
To celebrate his 50th birthday, Chris Parsons cycled from London to Gribraltar this month and has so far raised over $185,000 for one of the Loomba Foundation’s core programmes: educating the children of poor widows in India.
A partner with international law firm Herbert Smith and chair of its India Group, Chris is well aware of the plight faced by millions of poor widows and their children. He hopes his birthday resolution can make a significant difference to the lives of many sufferers.
Chris and his friends Duncan Ross, Bill Roden and Kim Darton set off on their bikes from London to Portsmouth on 3 September 2011, arriving in Gibraltar on 19 September after an eventful journey captured with daily entries and photographs on his blog.
