The 2019 International Widows Day Dinner at the House of Lords in London was hosted by The Lord Raj Loomba, CBE, Founder Chairman Trustee, Mrs Cherie Blair, CBE, QC, President, and the Trustees of The Loomba Foundation.

The event marks the 9th UN-recognised International Widows Day and explored the theme "Skills Training for Widows – Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals". The evening also marked the launch of a new global website of The Loomba Foundation to provide a single up-to-date source of research and information about the plight of widows around the world, and the efforts by individuals, organizations and countries to combat discrimination and injustice.
