Scholarship Cheques of Rs.72,000/- were distributed amongst 24 beneficiary students in Dhilwan, Punjab
Dhilwan, Punjab, 19 Sep 2022 – Lord Loomba along with his family visited Shri Jagiri Lal Loomba Memorial Govt. Senior Secondary School on 19th September, 2022. 2nd Instalment of Scholarship Cheques of Rs.3000/- each to 24 students has been distributed. Further, 12 blankets were also distributed to class IV staff of the school.
The programme was well organised, the performances of different students were great – especially the play of Shahid Bhagat Singh depicted the real efforts of the freedom fighters who made it possible for India to gain its independence from the British Rule. It was a befitting play to remind us that we are celebrating the 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav this year.
Lord Loomba was pleased to see utilizing the Loomba Foundation’s grant effectively and impressed to see the recent renovation and the improvements throughout the school. The main Hall looked fantastic with beautiful curtains, the Court Yard properly paved and the attractive entrance gate.
Lord Loomba and family members were all happy to plant trees in the school.
